AnchorAnchorTopAnchorTopUnion College uses PaperCut for print management and a special FindMePrint queue that allows users to release print jobs at any of the large Xerox Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) that are located throughout campus.

Once the FindMePrint printer is set up on a device, you simply print to it, then sign in at one of the MFPs, where you can release the print job. Note: that signing in can be accomplished by swiping your ID badge over the RFID reader on the MFP or manually entering your Union College username and password.

For on-campus printing, Union College most commonly uses FindMePrint printing in conjunction with the large Xerox MFPs (Multi-Function Printers) that are in many locations across campus. Generally, once the FindMePrint printer is installed on a device, you simply have to print to it, then go to any campus Xerox MFP to sign in (using your ID or manually inputting your credentials) and print your document. The further information on this page will help you access campus printing and resolve some issues.

Printing to a specific departmental account from a Union-Issued Windows PC

...

:

Some users need to print from different accounts for budgetary purposes.  This situation typically arises for several reasons:

  • You need the charges for certain print jobs to go department budget other than your own;
  • You have a special budget (for example, a grant-funded budget) that print jobs need to be charged to;
  • You are a student worker and do not want work-related jobs to be charged to a specific budget rather than your student printing account.

If this is the case you need to contact Technology Services to install software that will allow this and make the necessary changes to your PaperCut account.  There are some caveats:

  • You will no longer be able to print

...

  • to devices that do not have the PaperCut client software installed.

...

  • Because you will need to be authorized

...

  • for charging print jobs to the department or organizational budget BEFORE these changes can be made, you must contact your supervisor or organizational leader

...

  • and have them affirm this authorization with Technology Services.

How to add

...

funds to your PaperCut account:

NOTE: Faculty and Staff - YOU DO NOT NEED TO ADD FUNDS TO YOUR WORK ACCOUNT.  Contact us at support@unionky.edu or 546-1650 if you have print issues that you suspect are funds-related.
