IMPORTANT NOTES:
Connect to Union-College from a PC/Phone in order to register a gaming/streaming device.
Record the password that is provided. It will be required and cannot be retrieved (you should receive an email with the password)
Connect the gaming/streaming device to UnionIOT, do not use Union-Guest.
Wired devices also need registered.
To connect a streaming device, game console, or other device that cannot connect to Union-College using your username and password, you must first register the device. You will need the MAC Address of the device (see below for examples of how to get a device MAC Address).
On a computer or mobile device, make sure that you are connected to Union-College and go to https://clearpass.unionky.edu/guest

Enter your user name (do not use your full email address) and password and log in.
Click Create Device and fill in the details (MAC Address, Device name, Account Role) for the device you want to add.

Read and accept the terms of use and click Create.
Take note of the device Wi-Fi password (each device will have a unique password).
The password cannot be recovered, but you should receive it in an email.

On the device you just registered, use the password you received and connect to UnionIOT
FAQ:
My device is WIRED / I want to plug in - What do I do? **
If you have a wired device, use the steps above to register the devices WIRED MAC Address. Wait 5 minutes, then plug your device in to the port to connect.
**Note: Although the majority of our dorm rooms are equipped with multiple wired ports, there are some rooms do not have wired ports.
Finding a MAC address
Roku
Depending on the model, you will find the MAC addresses on the bottom or back of your Roku player. One address is for your wireless (wifi) connection and the other is for a wired ethernet connection, if your model supports it.
You can also find the MAC addresses from the Roku home screen. Select Settings, then About.
FIRE TV STICK
From the Home screen, press Menu. Select Settings. You should see the Wi-Fi MAC Address located in the Device Info section.
AMAZON ECHO
(DOWNLOAD THE AMAZON ALEXA APP TO YOUR PHONE OR COMPUTER AND SIGN IN WITH YOUR AMAZON ACCOUNT.)
Connect to the wireless network transmitted by your Echo device.
The wireless MAC address for your Echo can be found at the bottom of the Echo Setup screen in the Alexa app.
APPLE TV
Go to Settings. Select General, then About. In the About page, you should see your MAC Address (it might be listed as Wi-Fi Address).
