This article will explain how to connect various personal devices - ones that are not controlled or owned by Union College - to the FindMePrint printer queue.

Prerequisite: Your device needs to be connected to the Union College wireless network. Printing to Union College printers is not available from outside the college.

Computer Network Registration

Tablet or Mobile Device Network Registration

Setting up FindMePrint on Desktops and Laptops:

Windows 7:

Click the Start Menu. In the search box, enter: "\\print02\findmeprint" (do not include the quotation marks).

A dialog will come up that asks for a username and password. Enter your full union email address in the username field, and your union password in the password field.

Another dialog should pop up giving you the status of the printer install, indicating that drivers are being installed. Once this is complete, you can print to the printer like any other printer connected to your computer. You might get prompted for username and password again after shutdowns and reboots.

Windows 10:

In the search box (Cortana) beside the Start Menu, type Run and hit Enter. In the Run window, enter:"\\print02\findmeprint" (do not include the quotation marks).

Another dialog should pop up giving you the status of the printer install, indicating that drivers are being installed. Navigate to System Preferences > Printers and Scanners.

Click the icon under the Printers List.

The Add dialog is displayed. It displays a list of all of the discovered printers on the network.

Select a printer. The Name, Location, and Use is displayed.

Check that Use is set to Secure AirPrint.

If Secure AirPrint isn't displayed:

Close the Add dialog.

Disconnect from the network, then reconnect to it again.

Check if you can see Secure AirPrint now. If you can't, contact your System Administrator.

Click Add.

Print your document. When prompted, enter your PaperCut username and password.

Device requirements:

Mobility Print supports macOS Yosemite+.

Chrome OS (chromebooks):

Make sure the client is connected to your organization’s network.

Install the Mobility Print Chrome app.

If you want to print from Android applications such as Microsoft Word:

Enable Google Play store as a user or as an Administrator.

Install the Mobility Print Android app from the Google Play Store.

Click Open.

Click Android settings.

Click Mobility Print.

Click the enable toggle.

Open the page to print.

The way you print is different depending on the app you're printing from. For more information, see the documentation for the app. When you select a printer, make sure you select a Mobility Print printer as identified by the PaperCut icon:

Print the content.

For example, to print from Microsoft Word, press Ctrl+P, select a printer; then click Print.

When prompted, sign in.

Device requirements:

Mobility Print supports Chrome OS with Chrome version 43+ for Chrome apps and version 53+ for Android apps.

Setting up FindMePrint on Smartphones and Tablets:

There are several versions of iOS available, and even more versions of Android, which can vary by your device’s manufacturer. In light of this, the instructions below can be best considered as a general guide to setting up your device. The specifics may differ from device to device, but the overall concepts should steer you in the right direction.

Mobility Print works just like AirPrint—print your content as you normally would! The video above will show you the details - just select the ‘findmeprint’ printer when you get to that step.

You'll be prompted to enter your Union College Username and Password.

Device requirements:

Mobility Print supports iOS 9.2+.

  1. Install the Mobility Print app from the Google Play Store.

  2. Launch the app.

  3. Tap Android settings.

  4. Tap Mobility Print.

  5. Tap the enable toggle.

  6. Exit out of Settings.

  7. Print your document. When prompted, enter your Union College username and password.

If you select the Remember me check box, your phone will remember your login details for that printer for 30 days.

Device Requirements:

Mobility Print supports Android 4.4+. Supported devices includes Android phones and tablets from Google, Samsung, HTC, Lenovo, LG, Sony, Huawei among others.
