You should start by trying to connect your streaming device to the Union College Wi-Fi (unionky). If your device has not been registered to the network before, it will not be able to access the internet.
Next, visit the network registration page. You will need to have either the MAC or IP address of the device you're trying to register. Below are instructions on how find this information for the most popular kinds of streaming devices. If you are unable to complete the device registration, please contact IT with the information at the bottom of the page.
Depending on the model, you will find the MAC addresses on the bottom or back of your Roku player. One address is for your wireless (wifi) connection and the other is for a wired ethernet connection, if your model supports it.
You can also find the MAC addresses from the Roku home screen. Select Settings, then About.
Amazon Fire TV Stick
From the Home screen, press Menu. Select Settings. You should see the Wi-Fi MAC Address located in the Device Info section.
- Download the Amazon Alexa app to your phone or computer and sign in with your Amazon account.
- Connect to the wireless network transmitted by your Echo device.
- The wireless MAC address for your Echo can be found at the bottom of the Echo Setup screen in the Alexa app.
Go to Settings. Select General, then About. In the About page, you should see your MAC Address (it might be listed as Wi-Fi Address).
