Printing with PaperCut Web Print

PaperCut Web Print allows printing without the need to install print drivers, which is useful for sending jobs from laptops or desktops that don’t have the print driver installed. Here’s how to use it:

  • From your web browser (Chrome, Edge, etc) go to: PaperCut MF Web Print

  • Log in using your Union College email address and password.

  • Click the ‘Submit a Job »' button.

  • If you wish to make more than one copy of the document you wish to print, you can specify it here. Otherwise, click the ‘3. Upload Documents »’ button.

  • Select the file or files you wish to print here. On a desktop or laptop, you can drag and drop files into the box on the right, or you can click the ‘Upload from computer’ button to bring up a file browser dialog. Once you have used one of these methods to specify the file(s) you would like to print, click the ‘Upload & Complete »’ button.

  • You will see your print job listed on the next screen. The web print server will render the job and then send it on to the ‘FindMePrint’ queue. Once the status for your job is shown as ‘Held in a queue’ you can go to any of the Xerox Printer/Copiers on campus, scan your badge, and release the job to print.

 

PaperCut Web Print supports the following document types:

  • PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format)

  • DOC/DOCX (and other Microsoft Word formats)

  • XLS/XLSX (and other Microsoft Excel formats)

  • PPT/PPTX (and other Microsoft PowerPoint formats)

  • XPS (Microsoft XML Paper Specification)

  • TXT (plain text)

  • JPG/JPEG/GIF/PNG/TIFF/BMP (and other common image formats)
