Fifth Third Bank Card Reconciliation Website Workaround

Users of the 5/3 Bank Cardholder Website have been running into errors when attempting to perform tasks after logging in. We’ve determined that this is most likely due to a problem with a tracking cookie the website is issuing to web browsers, and we have informed 5/3 support of the issue.

In the meantime, we’ve found a workaround that will allow you to resume normal operations.

Step 1: Clear Cookies in Browser (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome)

Microsoft Edge:

(note: If you’re using Chrome, skip to the next section under ‘Google Chrome’.)

First, click the three dots in the upper-right of the browser window, then click ‘Settings’ in the drop-down menu.

Next, click ‘Cookies and site permissions’ and then ‘Manage and delete cookies and site data’

Then, click ‘See all cookies and site data’.

Click ‘Remove all’, then ‘Clear’ to confirm.

Finally, close your browser window by clicking the 'X' in the upper-right.

Google Chrome:

First, click the three dots in the upper right of the browser window, then click ‘Settings’ in the drop-down menu.

Click ‘Privacy and security’ and then ‘Clear browsing data’.

Click the ‘Advanced’ tab. Scroll through this list, and make sure that only ‘Cookies and other site data’ is checked, and then click ‘Clear data’.

Exit Google Chrome by clicking the 'X' in the upper-right.

Step 2: Select Cookies to Enable on 5/3 Website

Open up your web browser and go to https://sdg2.53.com , then log in.

If the cookies were successfully cleared in the first step, you should see the following dialog - click ‘Manage Cookies’.

Click the ‘Performance cookies’ tab on the left, and then make sure that the Performance cookies slider on the right is in the position indicated:

You should now be able to access this website without errors as before.
