How to Connect Devices to Wired and Wi-Fi Networks

Union College Wi-Fi (wifi) is available across campus.  There are several Wi-Fi networks available (how many are visible will depend on where you are on campus.) Each network has a specific purpose and method used for connecting to it.

Union-College (Laptops/Desktops)

If you are a student that needs to connect a laptop/desktop, use the “Union-College” Wi-Fi network. When prompted, enter your Union College user.name and password. Do not use your full email address. If you are asked for a ‘domain,’ enter ‘unionky.edu’.

Chromebook/ChromeOS devices need to have ‘EAP Method’ set to ‘PEAP.'

UnionIOT (Streaming and Gaming devices)

If you have a Streaming/Gaming device, it MUST FIRST BE REGISTERED and connected to UnionIOT. A password specific to the device being registered is provided during the registration process.

Instructions for registering your devices are here.

Union-Guest

“Union-Guest” Wi-Fi is for users without a Union College account.  It allows a few hours of access to the Internet for visitors to campus.

Instructions for connecting to Union-Guest are here.
